hot air balloon launch
I’ve never seen hot air balloons launch in real life before. I guess it’s because I’m not an early rise person. I’m glad I went against my nature to see them take off yesterday morning at 6:30am from a mist covered field.
My favorite balloon of the entire show was the dragon one. The happy dragon made me think of the characters on cereal boxes that encourage you to buy their product.

Look at that tree on the left with the toucan on it. I have no idea how you would even go about sewing a balloon shape that complex. Impressive.

We sat and watched most of the show from this hillside. There was still a lot of dew on the ground and my pants got soaked. It was worth it. The morning air reminded me of getting up early for summer camp in 5th grade.

Firing up the balloon for take-off.

They were letting people buy a spot to ride in a balloon themselves. I believe all those tickets were sold out by the time we arrived.
