magnetic ink process movement

Back in college, I used to go hang out with friends or draw to music played through the earliest builds of winamp. Usually we had version one of the whitecap or geiss plugins running in the background. There was a growing underground community of people writing their own visualization mods for plugins (it was relatively new technology at the time). I think I had collected a library of about 7000 mods for one plugin. That’s what this animation reminded me of. All that hunting for a computer script to run parallel with the Led Zeppelin albums…..

This is a time-based documentation of how the Magnetic Ink prints are created. The orbital vector is quite noticeable in this video.
