Nintendo DS, as you know, has a double screen with a stylus touch screen on the bottom. I enjoy games like Brain Age for the system, but there is one that totally surprised me by how rad it was. Elite Beat Agents. It was based off an alternative Japanese game Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. You can read about the game’s history here.
The closest thing I can compare it to would be rhythm based games like Guitar Hero, but with a stylus. You have to hit certain buttons in sequence that appear on a screen to the song that’s playing.
What makes it super funny is the sarcasm and comic book styled work that take you through each “music mission”. Yes, that is right, with the power of ROCK you assume the identity of an “Elte Beat Agent” to the aid of different characters in their own personal perils.
Most of the situations are really bizarre, but I don’t want to give too much away. The ending won’t disappoint either, it gets truly epic at the conclusion! If you like music-based games, you will probably dig this one.
